Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is seeking a motivated entry-level Electrical Engineer to join our hardware engineering team. MFC is a recognized designer, developer, and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to develop hands-on electrical engineering skills in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
What You Will Be Doing
The associate electrical engineer will support the design, development, integration, and test of electrical hardware across a variety of defense programs. Responsibilities may include:
• Assisting production and development teams by resolving technical challenges, incorporating engineering changes, updating drawings and assembly parts lists, and developing new designs or tools.
• Supporting circuit card assembly (CCA) design, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and design documentation.
• Performing circuit simulation and analysis using tools such as LTspice, PSpice, Simulink, NI Multisim, or MATLAB.
• Utilizing test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, signal generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers) to support hardware bring-up and troubleshooting.
• Supporting hardware operations by providing assistance to engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support design integration and interface resolution.
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including test procedures, design reports, and engineering change documentation.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree (or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related / STEM field from an accredited university.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad, Mentor Graphics, Cadence, or similar tools).
• Experience with simulation tools (LTspice, PSpice, Simulink, NI Multisim, MATLAB, etc.)
• Familiarity with test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator, signal generator, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, or similar).
• Must be a US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a DoD clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Exposure to a laboratory, design, or testing environment, engaging with hardware hands-on (soldering, breadboarding, prototype assembly, or similar)
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues demonstrated through hands-on experience
• Experience with digital and analog circuit design (PSpice, LTspice, TINA-TI) including hybrid technologies and high-speed digital design
• Experience with signal integrity design tools such as Hyperlynx
• Microelectronics experience at the transistor level
• Understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) principles
• Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles
• Familiarity with embedded systems, microprocessors, and digital signal processing principles
