What does this role look like?
The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program is looking for it's next enthusiastic and motivated Systems Engineer to join the Huntsville System Integration Facility (HSIF) team. This individual will work in a dynamic team environment supporting the Weapon System Engineering, Integration, and Test (WSEIT) organization.
Key job responsibilities include:
• Operate THAAD Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) testbeds
• Develop test cases in support of test objectives
• Develop necessary documentation to support testing (procedures, configuration docs, drawings, etc.)
• Analyze performance of system level runs
• Work with engineers on integration issues and the development of future system capability
• Perform research necessary to document and resolve weapon system issues
• Participate in failure review boards and assist with disposition of discrepancy documentation
• Support program Test Readiness Reviews and Technical Interface Meetings
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or higher degree in engineering or related field and/or equivalent work experience
• Working knowledge or experience in a Hardware In the Loop (HWIL), development and/or lab environments
• Working knowledge or experience with following/developing test plans and procedures
• Familiarity within military, missile, aerospace, or defense programs
• Active or Current Secret, thus US citizenship is required
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with the THAAD weapon system or similar systems
• Comfortable working in a lab environment with tactical testbeds
• Windows and Linux proficiency
• Experience in data analysis
• Hands-on lab experience, including integration or systems engineering experience
• Experience in real-time simulation operation
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely within a team-oriented environment
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
