PHYSICAL EFFORT
Work while performing administrative items is generally sedentary. Site visits are required which involve considerable walking, standing on concrete floors, and climbing stairways and ladders. Light to moderate physical effort is necessary to turn valves and controls. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 18 kilograms (40 pounds) unassisted and occasionally lift and carry heavier items with assistance of other workers or with lifting devices.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Works indoors and occasionally outside for short periods subject to prevailing weather conditions. Exposed to constant noise, rotating machinery, dirt, grease, chemicals, oil, and fumes in the work area. Subject to cuts and abrasions from the use of tools and equipment and burns from chemicals.
Occasionally works on catwalks and ladders. During site visits, required to follow prescribed safety practices and use safety equipment such as face shields, gloves, hard-toe shoes, respirators, and protective clothing. Some of these safety items may be uncomfortable to wear and
may be worn or used for long periods.
A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.

- You will plan equipment maintenance and facility repairs and ensure material availability including chemicals used at a wastewater treatment plant.
- You will investigate work-related problems such as low productivity and establishes procedures to ensure Operations personnel are productive and equipment is maintained and operating at high efficiencies.
- You will The incumbent evaluates operational costs to ensure his unit is being operated within budget constraints and makes recommendations to higher management if excessive costs are incurred.
- You will maintain attendance records and time cards, various operational reports, chemical consumption, preventive maintenance records, and daily logs on each operational shift.
- You will work closely with the Wastewater Maintenance Supervisor to keep him/her abreast of ongoing work, equipment breakdowns, operational deficiencies, and general conditions of the wastewater collection system and its appurtenances.
