Job Description

Duties

  • You will serve as a Branch Manager in the Waterfront Logistics Division providing managerial and supervisory functions to branch personnel administratively, logistically, and technically.
  • You will lead branch personnel in providing program management, logistics, and in-service engineering services to the Fleet and in the Logistics Representative (LOGREP) competency.
  • You will provide LOGREPs at various ports and locations to support ships and sites as required and ensuring Integrated Product Support (IPS) deliverables are properly managed, accurately inventoried, and safely transported.
  • You will analyze workforce and resource requirements in support of waterfront logistics and improving operational readiness objectives.
  • You will provide LOGREPs at various locations to assist with the execution of modernization events, Supportability Assessments, and support evolutions for designated hulls.
  • You will perform research and analysis as required to ensure quality, accuracy, and adequacy of products and service requirements, as well as identify risks and develop mitigations to resolve issues.
  • You will participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, and program level IPS reviews.
  • You will develop executable plans for complex and comprehensive technical/logistics/engineering projects related to the Command's mission, define areas of responsibility within teams, and assign technical efforts.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing integrated logistics management for the acquisition or integrated product support of equipment, material, products, goods or services in support of a surface warfare program. Examples of qualifying experience may include: Resolving complex programmatic, financial, technical, and logistics risks/problems impacting installation and modernization of systems and equipment, applying knowledge in Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements, and utilizing written and oral communication to lead geographically separated teams.
