Silotech is seeking a highly qualified Full-Time Employee to serve as a Cybersecurity ISSO / RMF Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the 19AF Pilot Training Transformation (PTT) mission. This position supports critical cybersecurity sustainment, RMF compliance, and operational security requirements for advanced Air Force modernization initiatives.
This role is ideal for a cybersecurity professional capable of rapidly integrating into mission operations and delivering advanced RMF, ATO sustainment, continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity compliance support for Air Force modernization platforms. The selected employee will play a critical role in securing cloud, simulation, and virtual reality environments that directly support the future of Air Force pilot training.
Location
Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Randolph AFB, San Antonio, TX. Position is remote with mandatory on-site support for weekly meetings and mission requirements. O ccasional travel may be required for demonstrations, testing, or Government workshops.
Clearance Requirements
CAC Eligible; must be able to successfully pass Public Trust requirements (No facility clearance required).

Essential Role and Responsibilities
RMF / ATO Sustainment
- Maintain one ATO for multiple cloud environments and one ATO for on-prem virtual reality systems
- Develop, manage, and update RMF Steps 1-7 artifacts
- Sustain eMASS packages, SSPs, POA&Ms, Security Plans, and Continuous Monitoring strategies
- Coordinate with Government ISSMs, ISSOs, SCVs, and PMs
- Ensure accreditation documentation remains compliant with Air Force and DoD cybersecurity standards
Cybersecurity Operations
- Conduct continuous monitoring, incident response, and incident reporting
- Execute vulnerability and risk assessments
- Perform ACAS, Nessus, HBSS, SCAP, and STIG-based compliance actions
- Support IAVA remediation, patching, firewall validation, and user access governance
- Investigate and resolve security vulnerabilities and technical issues
Strategic Compliance
- Develop SOPs, QCPs, risk management plans, and security documentation
- Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-171, NIST 800-53, DoDI 8510.01, DFARS, and DoD 8570
- Support third-party software security reviews and vendor risk management
- Deliver Monthly Status Reports and PMR cybersecurity updates
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Minimum 8 years of cybersecurity / RMF / ISSO experience OR Master's degree with 4+ years direct experience
- Proven experience with multi-cloud ATO environments
- Proven experience supporting on-prem ATO for simulation or VR systems
- Significant eMASS experience
- Strong working knowledge of NIST continuous monitoring
- Hands-on experience with ACAS, HBSS, Nessus, SCAP, and STIG Viewer
Certifications
Minimum Required
- CompTIA Security+
- DoD 8570 / AFMAN 17-1303 compliant baseline certification requirements
Preferred
- CISSP
- CISM

- Ability to rapidly onboard and immediately support mission requirements
- Ability to maintain all required certifications throughout employment
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain CAC access
- Ability to successfully complete Public Trust screening requirements
- Capability to operate effectively in both remote and on-site environments

- Cybersecurity professional with strong ATO sustainment background
- Able to quickly assume operational responsibilities with minimal ramp-up
