Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced Audiovisual Engineer (Design & Integration) to support complex, mission-critical systems for an Intelligence Community customer in Herndon, VA. This role focuses on system design, integration, testing, and verification of advanced audiovisual and collaboration systems in a high-security environment. The ideal candidate brings strong systems integration experience, attention to detail, and the ability to operate professionally in high-pressure environments supporting senior leaders. Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (within the past 2 years) is required.

Work Environment:
Full-time, on-site role in Herndon, VA supporting highly secure systems and integration efforts across Intelligence Community facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end system design, integration, and verification activities across multiple AV platforms and subsystems.
- Develop and maintain system documentation including integration plans, interface control documents, and design artifacts.
- Perform system-level troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution to ensure operational readiness.
- Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and test engineers to resolve complex integration challenges.
- Participate in design reviews, test planning, and execution activities to validate system performance.
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams and government customers as required.
- Ensure compliance with security requirements, configuration management, and change control processes.
- Attend daily engineering and program meetings to coordinate integration efforts and provide status updates.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while supporting senior officials and stakeholders in time-sensitive, high-visibility environments.
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (must be active within the past 2 years).
- Level 3: 3+ years of systems design and integration experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Level 4: 5+ years of systems design and integration experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience with system integration tools, documentation platforms (e.g., Jira, Confluence), and test equipment.
- Familiarity with systems engineering principles and integration best practices.
- Ability to travel to multiple job sites as needed, occasionally using a company vehicle.
- Valid driver's license required.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting audiovisual, collaboration, or secure IT systems in classified environments.
- Background working in Intelligence Community or other high-security mission settings.
- Experience supporting lifecycle activities from design through test and operational sustainment.
Compensation:
- Pay range: $150,000 - $200,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
