Responsibilities of the Senior Structural Analysis Engineer:
- Lead the development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to support system design and performance
- Analyze and verify structural integrity using analytical methods, finite element modeling (FEM), and advanced simulation tools
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to define and validate the operational environment and system characteristics
- Drive design validation efforts through development of test plans, execution support, and detailed reporting of results
- Ensure compliance by documenting certification data and test outcomes for regulatory and customer requirements
- Lead investigations into in-service structural failures and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and enhance analysis tools and processes to improve efficiency and quality across the product lifecycle
- Operate with a high level of autonomy under minimal supervision
Qualifications of the Senior Structural Analysis Engineer:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical field (ABET preferred)
- 10+ years of structural analysis experience
- 8+ years of aerospace experience , including analysis of primary structures, subsystems, or weapons systems
- Strong experience with:
- Hand calculations
- CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX/Teamcenter, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, Pro-E)
- FEM tools (e.g., NASTRAN/PATRAN, Abaqus, Hyperworks, Stresscheck)
- Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
- Experience with (CAESAR, Lifeworks, Mechanica, Common Structures Workstation)
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work 100% onsite in the Greater St. Louis area
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
Compensation and Benefits Information:
- Salary Range: $110,000-150,000+ **depending on experience**
