Marine Facility Engineering Technician
Location: Little Creek, VA
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position is contingent upon contract award.
Position Overview
The Marine Facility Engineering Technician Lead IMD supports Intermediate Maintenance Detachment (IMD) in Little Creek, Virginia by providing overall technical oversight and supervision of maintenance activities for marine maintenance facility systems and related support equipment. This role leads and supports maintenance execution, troubleshooting, technical problem solving, installation and testing of advanced submarine technology, evaluation of system deficiencies and sustainment issues, and coordination of project status and work progress to help ensure maintenance is performed in accordance with required specifications and mission needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall technical oversight and supervision of maintenance activities.
Provide oversight and supervision of contractor engineering technicians supporting assigned work.
Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support on projects to ensure all work meets required specifications.
Assist with installation and testing of advanced submarine technology.
Assist with evaluation of deficiencies and sustainability of submarine and submersible systems and components.
Assist with rigging and handling evolutions in support of mission requirements.
Provide project status and work updates, as necessary.
Operate Government vehicles, classes 1-5 forklifts, and class 7 forklifts as required to carry out assigned duties.
Minimum Requirements to be considered
Minimum of 6 years of technical experience, supply chain administration, and use of Microsoft Office suite products.
High School Diploma or equivalent plus 6 years of related experience, or BA/BS plus 2 years of related experience.
Active Secret Clearance required.
Prior military submersible technical and/or electrical experience preferred.
Must complete all NSWG-8 IMD rigging and handling qualifications within 6 months.
