Job Description
SPAARK Inc. is seeking experienced Reasonable Accommodation (RA) Support Analysts to support the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Departmental Office of Civil Rights (DOCR), in administering and evaluating reasonable accommodation requests for federal employees and applicants.
This role is critical to ensuring compliance with federal disability, employment, and workplace accommodation laws, including the Rehabilitation Act, ADA, Title VII, and the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, experience reviewing medical documentation, and the ability to facilitate interactive accommodation processes while maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
-Review and analyze reasonable accommodation requests involving disability, religion, and pregnancy-related accommodations
-Evaluate medical and supporting documentation for functional limitations and accommodation eligibility
Initiate and facilitate the interactive accommodation process with employees, supervisors, and stakeholders
-Coordinate with Federal Occupational Health (FOH) regarding medical documentation and suitability determinations
-Draft legally sufficient accommodation decision letters, including approvals, denials, and alternative accommodation recommendations
-Conduct essential job function analyses with supervisors and hiring officials
-Identify effective accommodation solutions and assistive technology options
-Maintain detailed and organized case files in accordance with agency procedures and confidentiality requirements
-Prepare reports, summaries, correspondence, and supporting documentation as directed
-Ensure all assignments are completed within established timelines and service-level requirements
-Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Privacy Act requirements, and DOT security standards
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following experience requirements:
-Minimum five (5) years of experience as an attorney; OR
-Minimum three (3) years of experience in human resources, labor relations, disability management, or a related field involving reasonable accommodation processing
Additionally, candidates must demonstrate:
-Knowledge of the Rehabilitation Act, ADA, Title VII, PWFA, EEOC guidance, and related federal employment laws
-Experience reviewing and analyzing medical documentation related to accommodation determinations
-Knowledge of assistive technology applications and workplace accommodations
-Strong analytical, writing, and case management skills
-Ability to prepare professional decision memoranda and correspondence
-Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
-Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
-Experience following SOPs, federal policies, and directed procedures
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
-Prior experience supporting federal agency reasonable accommodation programs
-Experience working with Federal Occupational Health (FOH)
-Familiarity with EEOC MD-110 and MD-715
-Experience drafting legally sufficient accommodation determinations
-Experience in case management systems or workflow tracking platforms
-Knowledge of federal HR and labor relations processes
