- You will serve the management department and provide oversight of corrective maintenance, configuration management, life cycle management, modernization planning, and executing funding processes for the assigned ship classes.
- You will ensure Naval Database Environment database for the assigned ship classes have current and accurate alteration programming, planning, and completion data available to facilitate future year SHIPALT programming.
- You will prepare, answer, and process incoming and outgoing correspondence dealing with individual class ships as required or directed by the CNSG SE Engineering Duty Officer.
- You will maintain continuing review of budgetary and time constraints in the planning and execution phases of industrial availability.
- You will develop and implement the department's long-term strategic objectives and goals and ensure that the division goals and objectives are aligned to department and command strategic plans.
- You will communicate risk mitigation strategies for staffing shortfalls to department leadership.
- You will assist in the indoctrination and training of new Maintenance Liaison Officers by providing guidance on CNSG SE procedures and policies.
- You will monitor the readiness and material condition of assigned ships to identify problems trends and potential class-wide problem areas.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

GS-13:

- Experience performing and serving as the N43 Material Readiness Department Operations Manager, technical expert and point of contact for Mayport Atlantic Fleet maintenance, configuration control and life cycle logistics functions except for the LCS variants.
- Experience participating fully in the management of the department and provides continuity in the oversight of maintenance availability planning, corrective maintenance on management, life cycle management, modernization planning, and executing funding processes for the assigned ship classes.
- Experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships with counterparts at Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) NAVSEA, U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFFC) and CNSL and their subordinate commands, Naval Shipyards and SUPSHIPs, support contractors and consultants, and other staff codes in matters pertaining to assigned ship's planned major industrial availabilities.
