Construction Security Coordinator

A Construction Security Coordinator is responsible for overseeing Construction security operations at a construction site to ensure the proper procurement, shipment and processing construction materials, and cataloging all project information.

Essential Responsibilties:

Work with the Amentum General Contractor (GC) to produce, all construction related security documents to include:

Security Compliance and Oversite

• Ensure the construction progress is in compliance with the ICD-705 and the Construction Security Plan (CSP)
• Monitor site access control by submitting workers for U.S. Government vetting and maintaining access records.
• Attend security meetings and provide updates on construction site security progress.
• Answer security-related questions regarding the project's status, materials, and workforce.

Material Security & Inspection

• Maintain and oversee the Bill of Materials (BOM) to track approved construction materials.
• Individual components (e.g. fasteners, bolts, electrical wiring)
• Consumables (e.g., adhesives, lubricants, electric tape)
• Track construction revisions, and ensure that the GC remains in
• Distinguish between inspectable and non-inspectable materials, ensuring all materials meet security standards.
• Inspect all Material Delivery Requests (MDRs) to verify compliance with security requirements.
• Coordinate with the General Contractor and subcontractors to ensure all materials are approved for use on the construction site.
• Work with the GC to coordinate Individual Shipping Plans (ISP), track and report any supply chain disruptions.

Workforce & Labor Security Oversite

• Understand the CSP labor matrix to determine which tasks can be performed by local nationals vs. cleared Americans.
• Ensure that security measures are upheld in all aspects of GC and sub-contractor workforce management.

Documentation & Technical Review

• Expertly review and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation to align security requirements with project specifications.
• Work within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Resident Management System (RMS) to track project details and security compliance.
• Maintain thorough documentation of material approvals, site security reports, and labor assignments.
• Conduct Site Security assessments with the SSM to come up with construction security resolutions for any deviations from the drawings and what has been constructed.

Communication & Reporting

• Provide detailed security reports on construction site conditions and material compliance.
• Communicate effectively with construction teams, security leadership, and government representatives.
• Maintain excellent speaking skills to present security updates and address inquiries professionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expert-level experience in reading construction drawings and technical documents.
• Top Secret/SCI clearance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Resident Management System (RMS).
• Strong verbal communication and public speaking skills.
• Ability to work 40-60 hours per week, depending on project demands.
• Prior experience in military, government, or classified construction projects.
• Background in security management, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience working on Department of Defense (DoD) or U.S. Government projects.
