What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a defense-related location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report access concerns, policy violations, or suspicious behavior according to post orders.
• Support security-related operations by maintaining a visible presence, following weapon handling requirements, and completing required reports, logs, and shift communications accurately and on time.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• At least 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
