This position seeks a Senior quality assurance lead responsible for managing the full testing lifecycle, from requirements gathering and test plan design to the production of critical hazard analysis documentation for system deployment. This role requires a seasoned professional with at least six years of experience in application testing and test case development, utilizing expertise in the SDLC, SQL, and automated testing frameworks such as Selenium. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership to staff and contractors while ensuring system integrity through rigorous quality control, application performance testing, and adherence to Section 508 accessibility and browser compatibility standards. In addition to the minimum qualifications below, desirable experience includes: experience in multiple test and production environments; the use of version control software; and experience with standard information technology products and environments.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $64926 - $110374

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Key Responsibilities :
- Gathers requirements information from users, designs potential solutions, develops specifications, defines and/or defines testing requirements and recommends software/hardware component changes as required.
- Participates as needed in development phases with emphasis on the analysis/design, documentation and/or testing, integration, and presentation phases.
- Works closely with Requirements Analysts/Business Analyst and developers to ensure proper implementation and/or testing of program and system specifications.
- Coordinates the planning for testing efforts and the design of multiple test plans, including developing data-driven test cases.
- Responsible for quality assurance, quality control, and system integrity (through testing).
- Prepares and delivers presentations on system concepts and/or testing efforts.
- Develops work plans and monitors them for adherence to user requirements and work schedules.
- Conforms to standards and quality control procedures for requirements definition, design, development, and/or testing and Implementation.
- Provides technical guidance to lower staff.
- Act as test manager to ensure that all testing is done according to test plans and testing standards.
- Must produce hazard analysis documentation to determine whether the system is deployable.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education: Associates Degree - or high school diploma and at least 6 years of work experience.
Minimum Qualifications :
- At least six years' experience in design, development, and/or testing of applications.
- At least six years' experience creating test data, cases, and scenarios from written requirements.
- At least six years' experience in creating, gathering, analyzing, planning, documenting, and/or defining and coordinating test plans and requirements
- At least five years' experience with standards and quality control procedures for testing implementation.
- At least five years' experience using Use Cases or user stories to create test cases.
- At least five years' experience in the system development life cycle, DBMS concepts, and/or design techniques.
- At least five years' experience implementing and using automated testing techniques, if required.
- At least five years' experience implementing and using continuous integration techniques, if required.
- At least three years' experience writing SQL to retrieve and update test data.
- Experience with developing test scenarios for use in automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g. Selenium).
- Experience with Accessibility (Section 508 compliance) and browsers compatibility testing.
- Experience with application performance testing.
- Experience as a technical leader of contractor staff.
- Proficiency in creating data-driven test cases, scenarios, and comprehensive test plans derived from written requirements, use cases, or user stories
- Ability to write SQL queries to retrieve and update test data and a strong understanding of DBMS concepts.
- Deep familiarity with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various design techniques.
- Experience implementing automated testing techniques and continuous integration (CI) workflows.
- Expertise in applying quality control procedures and standards to ensure system integrity
- Ability to gather information from users, develop technical specifications, and recommend hardware or software changes
- Skill in developing work plans, monitoring schedules for adherence, and coordinating multiple testing efforts simultaneously.
- Proficiency in documenting test requirements and system concepts
- Experience managing and providing guidance to junior staff
- Ability to act as a Test Manager, ensuring all activities align with established testing standards.
- Ability to prepare and deliver professional presentations on system concepts and testing outcomes
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Business Analysts, Requirements Analysts, and developers to ensure proper implementation.
