Functional Analyst (ServiceNow / QA)
Location: Rosslyn, VA - supporting federal agency operations
Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking a motivated Functional Analyst to support a federal client in delivering mission-critical software solutions within a secure environment.
In this role, you will support the technical implementation of software products by working closely with team members and end users to understand requirements and design effective solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring systems meet functional needs through requirements gathering, testing, and solution alignment with business processes.

What You'll Do
As a Functional Analyst, you will:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements
- Support the design and implementation of solutions that align with business processes and system capabilities
- Develop and execute test plans and test scripts to validate system functionality
- Support functional testing activities, including defect tracking and resolution, and troubleshoot issues to ensure quality delivery
- Apply industry best practices and detailed software knowledge to support optimal system design and implementation
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet client needs and functional requirements
- Maintain documentation related to requirements, testing, and system functionality
- Full-time (40 hours/week)
- On-site support required in Rosslyn, VA (full-time or majority on-site)
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Minimum of 0-2 years experience with functional test planning
- Minimum of 0-2 years hands-on experience with ServiceNow
- Experience gathering and documenting business or functional requirements
- Experience supporting application testing and writing test scripts
- Experience working with Agile tools such as Jira or similar platforms
- Familiarity with enterprise systems, case management tools, or workflow platforms
- Ability to analyze requirements and identify gaps or inconsistencies
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal government or cleared environments
- Familiarity with ServiceNow modules or workflows
- Experience supporting system implementations or technology rollouts
- Experience with user acceptance testing (UAT) and release support
- Exposure to SDLC and Agile delivery frameworks
- Support enterprise systems used in mission-critical federal operations
- Gain hands-on experience across requirements analysis, testing, and system delivery
- Work with ServiceNow and modern Agile delivery practices
- Build a strong foundation in federal consulting and technology implementation
