Job Description
Motor Vehicle Operation:
Record Keeping & Reporting:
Laborer/Courier Operations:
Requirements:
- Safely operates armored/non-armored vehicles as required for official business, including to transport COM, DCM, and other personnel within the city and the surrounding areas.
- Acts as alert observer and prevents unauthorized access to the vehicle and the surrounding area while on official business.
- Analyses the daily driving schedule, ensuring familiarity with primary and alternate routes to the destination(s).
- Cleans, polishes and checks vehicle before and after operation to ensure that it is in serviceable condition.
- Drives in motorcades for visiting dignitaries such as the U.S. President, Secretary of State, members of Congress, flag military officers etc. as assigned.
- May handle cash up to $1,000 for fuel and incidentals.
Record Keeping & Reporting:
- Conducts vehicle inspection and reports vehicle deficiencies to the Motorpool Coordinator.
- Completes daily trip ticket after vehicle inspection. Prepares accident and vehicle reports, trip logs and travel documents.
Laborer/Courier Operations:
- Serves as a special messenger in delivering documents or invitations or in completing other various tasks for the Mission.
- Responsible for safe handling, moving and storage, and inventory of both expendable and non-expendable items.
Requirements:
- 2 Years experience driving armored and unarmored vehicles - preferred
- Must be able to carry 50 pounds and move heavy items
- Possess a valid, unexpired U.S. driver's license.
- A Top Secret clearance is required.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
