Arcfield is currently seeking skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Technician candidates for this immediate opening. This position requires working on-site at the customer location in Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport, RI. This position will provide direct support to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Code 34 Program. Tasking will include Quality Assurance Management System Coordination, Audits and Surveillances, Work Center training, Process Implementation, and Documentation. You will provide Quality Assurance expertise as part of an integrated technical team made up engineers and technicians.

There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure I&EW Sensors group compliance with all Code 34 and NUWC center quality.
- Proactively recommend any process-related improvements across all I&EW Sensors Group processes.
- Perform scheduled and ad-hoc audits of I&EW Sensors Group process per applicable Standard operating procedures.
- Perform trend analysis on completed audits and surveillances to identify areas for improvements.
- Generate Corrective Action Reports for Problem investigation and reporting.
- Coordinate the training of all I&EW Sensors group personnel and maintain all training records.
- Collaborate with Floor Manager regarding creation, review, and approval of formal work packages.
- Coordinate with the materials team the processing of non-conforming material.
- Complete all quality inspections of material, assets, or objective quality evidence.
- Ensure proper material handling practices.
- Investigate quality related issues, document and report the issues to management; implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- BS and 0-2 years experience
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, etc.) preferred, In lieu of a degree, candidates with significant, demonstrated Navy experience operating Navy and Submarine specific equipment will be strongly considered.
- Position requires an active Secret security clearance with the US Government.
- Experience and knowledge associated with engineering functions related to design, troubleshooting, analysis, reporting and/or testing of complex systems.
- Candidates must be able to work independently, collaboratively as part of a team, and interface regularly with a wide range of client personnel.
- Knowledge of JFMM and SUBSAFE requirements.
- Proficiency in interpreting and working with electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency with MS office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat.
- Proficiency with various test, measurements, and diagnostic equipment.
- Proficiency in evaluating and understanding engineering drawings, designs, and models.
