Description:What You Will Be Doing:
As a member of the C-130J Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Department, the Maintainability/Diagnostics Health Management Group develops products related to the maintenance of the C-130, L-100, LM-100, C-5, and P-3 aircraft. As a Maintenance Planning Team member, the selected candidate will be responsible defining requirements and associated verification methodology for development and revision of detailed scheduled maintenance plans for both civilian and military aircraft within the AMMM Line of Business including the C-130, L-100, LM-100, C-5 and P-3 aircraft. Responsibilities also include, attending customer meetings and conferences, and addressing customer questions and concerns in relations to their maintenance planning. Systems Engineering processes in translating customer specific requirements into appropriate maintenance strategies.
Primary responsibilities:
• Research, organize, write, edit, and produce source data for aircraft scheduled maintenance plans.
• Develop, review and analyze recommendations for scheduled maintenance type, interval, and assess limitations across aircraft platforms.
• Review aircraft readiness reports to recommend scheduled maintenance changes.
• Review component flight hours, operating cycles, scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activity, and aircraft maintenance documentation to aid in scheduled maintenance changes/updates.
• Collect product specification information and verify configuration baseline for aircraft and support systems.
• Validate maintenance support requirements and review configuration changes.
• Review and/or perform technical/maintenance data analysis and evaluate component performance and failure rates.
• Monitor aircraft maintenance activities and adjust scheduled maintenance intervals to aid in aircraft availability.
• Evaluate maintenance instructions for consistency to ensure a more robust maintenance program.
Additional responsibilities include addressing customer questions, developing inputs for new capabilities, and supporting inputs to Statements of Work (SOWs), proposals, and quotes.
Candidate will be required to work overtime as required to meet scheduled deliveries while requiring minimal direction in accomplishing assigned tasks.
This position may require occasional travel to supplier and customer facilities both domestic and international.
Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications:
Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance concepts and practices covering multiple systems (e.g. avionics, electrical, propulsion, hydraulics, and pneumatics).
Experience in aircraft maintenance and a working knowledge/understanding of detailed scheduled maintenance plans.
Knowledge of aircraft technical manuals; understanding how those manuals relate to the maintenance philosophy.
Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and be able to excel in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Desired Skills:
FAA A&P Certificate
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Windows Operating System.
Knowledge/Experience with Maintenance Steering Group (MSG-3) and Reliability Center Maintenance Analysis (RCMA)analysis.
Experience with Technical Writing.
Experience in aircraft maintenance covering multiple systems (e.g., avionics, electrical, propulsion, hydraulics, and pneumatics), especially in scheduled inspections.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
