Description:Lockheed Martin has an exciting opportunity for an Environments Engineer in Dallas, TX.
This person will be a member of the hardware engineering team and be responsible for the design, analysis, testing, and certification of missile and fire-control systems. Our mission is to ensure that our missile and fire-control systems can survive and operate reliably under the full spectrum of mechanical, thermal, acoustic, electromagnetic, and structural environments encountered from launch through mission execution.
You will be responsible for the development and flow down of environmental requirements to systems and components. This engineer will need experience with vibration analysis and testing. With guidance, they will be developing test plans for system and subsystem qualification testing.
The selected candidate will also be responsible for assessing environmental requirements, risks, and margin against product specifications and reliability standards to show product verification and robust design. The environments engineer will interface with mechanical design, systems requirements, electromechanical design, lab operations, and structural analysis engineering groups.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Strong foundation or coursework in vibration analysis, vibration test data processing, structural testing, or similar experiences. Demonstrated through strong academic performance.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems, demonstrated through hands-on experience.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, demonstrated through successful group projects, individual work, and/or collaborations.
Desired Skills:
* Pursuing a Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Familiarity with military-level grade testing standards (such as MIL-STD-810).
* Experience with vibration testing and other environmental testing facilities.
* Familiarity with accelerometer post-processing, including time history and power spectral density plots.
* Ability to execute a requirements gap analysis and requirements flowdown to subsystems.
* Familiarity with shaker tables, PSD, hands-on testing, etc.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
