The MITRE National Security (MNS) Executive Assistant will be responsible for supporting the MNS Vice President, Department of War & Services . This position will execute all operational and administrative functions of the office while maintaining the highest level of personal and professional standards and conduct. A successful candidate will have demonstrated recent experience providing executive administrative support for one or more executives or senior leadership within a large organization. Location for this position is McLean, VA. Candidate must be local to the Washington, D.C. Metro Area.

- Manage and own the VP's calendar, ensuring time between meetings to transition whenever possible; reference the Corporate Calendar to ensure posting of important meetings/events this VP must attend to avoid meeting conflicts.
- Arrange for all travel in support of this VP including preparing relevant read ahead materials and itineraries, ensuring all participation processes are followed.
- Learn the VP's goals to prioritize work effectively and efficiently as a strategic partner who can anticipate their requirements.
- Plan, coordinate, and support a variety of meetings and presentations including arranging for venue, room configuration, catering, preparing agendas and other meeting materials, audio-visual needs, etc., as requested.
- Prepare and promptly process expense reports on behalf of MNS Vice President s.
- Maintain and follow all protocols in the handling of highly sensitive, confidential, and classified information.
- Engage with senior officials and executives from government, commercial industry, and academia to understand requirements and secure appointment dates/times and coordinating all aspects of visits including preparing for and receiving executive-level visitors.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior Government executive assistants.
- Work in a collaborative atmosphere with the entire Executive Admin team, where vacations and office outages are coordinated and coverage secured as necessary, and that executive administrative support is provided for all executives during business hours.
- Minimum SECRET level clearance
Required Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Must have an active Secret U.S Government issued Security Clearance.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI U.S Government issued Security Clearance. Per the U.S. Government's eligibility requirements, you must be a U.S Citizen to be considered for a security clearance.
- Demonstrated recent experience supporting one or more executives or equivalent senior leaders.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel, and competency with the latest mobile, desktop and VTC technologies and meeting platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.).
- Must have an active Secret U.S Government issued Security Clearance.
- Per the U.S. Government's eligibility requirements, you must be a U.S Citizen to be considered for a security clearance
- Ability to work on-site in McLean, VA 5 days per week
- Ability to provide occasional off hours support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of executive support experience in the National Security community
- High level of poise, tact, and diplomacy in working closely with a diverse group of executives, senior leaders, government officials, high ranking military officers, and sponsors and their executive assistants.
- Strong organization skills with attention to detail.
- Able to work independently, proactively assess situations and make decisions within broadly defined practices and procedures, often with highly sensitive information.
- Ability to quickly adapt to schedule changes in this fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively apply strong self-organization and time management skills with c onsiderable emphasis on self-initiation.
- Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
