Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Routing desk journal incident reports to site manager for signature, ensuring Legal Office and Naval Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS) office gets copies; 2) Typing a variety of material in proper format such as correspondence, forms, reports, requisitions, and statistical data from handwritten notes; 3) Querying database(s) to obtain criminal background checks for all personnel accessing the installation.

This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.
While work is primarily sedentary, some standing, bending, lifting and walking are required.
The work is performed in an office setting involving everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places. The work area is adequately lighted. Duty hours may rotate in order to provide 7 days a week coverage for the Visitor Control Center. Office setting is enclosed and well ventilated. Incumbent can be subject to verbal abuse during personal or telephone conversations with members of the general public.
- You will process requests for the issuance of temporary passes, contractor/ vendor passes, and visitor passes.
- You will perform a variety of administrative tasks including, but not limited to providing receptionist support, maintaining appointment calendar for Security Officer and Operations Officer.
- You will maintain files on physical security violations and verify information retrieved from database(s) to prepare letter citing type of physical security violation for site manager signature.
