Specialized Experience:
For the GS-07, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-05 if outside the Federal service. For the GS-07, Specialized Experience is defined as assisting with Human Resource recruitment or utilizing HR systems to input and extract personnel data.
For the GS-09, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-07 if outside the Federal service. For the GS-09, Specialized Experience is defined as utilizing standard recruitment and placement principles and practices to analyze position requirements and apply a recruitment strategy.
Time-in-Grade:
For the GS-07, Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-05 or higher grade in Federal Service.
For the GS-09, Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-07 or higher grade in Federal Service.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Education
To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
For the GS-07, 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement in a field related to the position may be substituted for specialized experience.
For the GS-09, a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field related to the position or LL.B. or J.D., if related may be substituted for specialized experience.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at the time of application.
