Introduction: ARServices is seeking an experienced Staff Action Control Officer to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Research & Development (RD) Directorate. This role is ideal for highly organized, proactive professionals with strong task management expertise and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, senior-level DoD environment. You will work closely with Department-level leadership, coordinating across divisions, finance, POM, agreements teams, and other stakeholders to manage high-priority actions, develop reports and presentations, and ensure timely, accurate responses that support effective decision-making and mission execution in DTRA's critical Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) efforts.
Position Description: The Staff Action Control Officer will serve as a key coordinator and trusted advisor to Department leadership, managing the full lifecycle of staff actions, taskers, and correspondence using Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) and SharePoint. You will gather, analyze, and synthesize complex information into high-quality reports and briefings while synchronizing efforts across RD teams and external partners to keep senior leaders informed and actions on track.
Location & Travel: This is a full-time position based at DTRA Headquarters in Fort Belvoir, VA, with minimal travel expected.

A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:
- Consult directly with Department-level leadership on action items, priorities, and deliverables.
- Utilize the Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) and Microsoft SharePoint to receive, distribute, track, and facilitate staff actions and taskers.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities, initiate follow-ups, and ensure timely completion of commitments across the Department.
- Gather, analyze, compile, and synthesize complex data and information into well-written reports, presentations, and decision-support materials.
- Evaluate, integrate, and interpret information in coordination with other DTRA staff elements.
- Keep Department and Division leadership informed of relevant organizational events, issues, and action status.
- Coordinate and synchronize efforts across all RD teams and with other contractors to facilitate leadership decisions and timely responses.
- Review, screen, control, maintain records, and coordinate responses on incoming correspondence and actions.
- All other duties as assigned.
Security Clearance Requirement: Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- 8-10+ years of experience working in or supporting DoD or other Government agencies.
- Experience supporting DoD senior leadership (Colonel/GS-15 or above).
- Demonstrated experience managing senior-level operations functions and tasker/action workflows.
- Proficiency with tasker management systems such as ETMS2, CATMS, or similar platforms.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams), including the ability to manage and analyze large volumes of data.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with leaders and staff at all levels.
- Detail-oriented, self-starter with excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management abilities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Extremely organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience developing, designing, or implementing custom SharePoint solutions.
- Background in the Countering WMD (CWMD) mission or direct DTRA experience.
- Familiarity with the PPBE process or DAWIA acquisition processes.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
