Gridiron IT is growing Agile Digital Solutions Operating Group is searching for a Functional FM/USSGL/UJ supporting the modernization and transformation of a large portfolio of enterprise business solutions used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The candidate will be part of a team where complex problem solving, and communication skills are critical to success.
Qualifications
Design, configure, and support SAP Funds Management (FM) components including Funds Centers, Funded Programs, Commitment Items, and Budget Control System (BCS).
Ensure proper integration of SAP FM with FI/CO, MM, and SD modules to support end-to-end financial and procurement processes.
Map financial transactions to U.S. Standard General Ledger (USSGL) accounts and ensure compliance with federal financial reporting requirements.
Support budget formulation, execution, and control processes within SAP, including budget availability control and funds tracking.
Document functional gaps, process deltas, requirements, and remediation strategies related to FM and USSGL alignment.
Collaborate with stakeholders to validate business requirements and ensure compliance with federal standards (USSGL, GTAS, IPAC, Treasury reporting).
Analyze SAP Simplification Items and identify impacts to FM, budgetary control, and federal financial processes during S/4HANA transformation.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and standardization leveraging S/4HANA capabilities.
Develop and maintain detailed process flows for “As Is” and “To Be” financial management processes.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications for system configuration, enhancements, and reporting solutions.
Support testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for FM and financial processes.
Coordinate with technical, integration, and security teams to ensure a compliant and integrated solution design.
Support audit readiness and financial compliance activities related to USSGL and federal financial systems.
Contribute to SOPs, job aids, and training materials to support system adoption and operational readiness.
Requirements:
Required:
12 or more years of SAP experience supporting SAP Funds Management (FM) and federal financial processes in a Public Sector environment.
Strong knowledge of USSGL, federal financial reporting, and budgetary accounting principles.
Experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA Financials.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a NASA Public Trust background investigation.
Desired:
Experience supporting NASA programs or other federal government financial systems
Experience with SAP Activate Methodology
Familiarity with Treasury reporting processes (GTAS, IPAC)
Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance transformations, including Budget Control System (BCS).

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $60-80/hr (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
