C-12/UC-35 Army Transport Aircraft Quality Control Inspector (QCI) McGuire, Dix, Lakehurst, NJ.

Job Description

The C-12/UC-35 Army Transport Aircraft Quality Control Inspector (QCI) is responsible to the Site Supervisor when performing QC duties and inspections required during maintenance actions performed by aircraft maintainers.

QCI's perform spot-checks on work in progress, final inspections on maintenance items and is familiar with the provisions and responsibilities within the various Amentum programs managed and monitored by QC.
  • Comply with FAA regulations as applicable.
  • Comply with written company maintenance and logistics procedures.
  • Know, understand and comply with the requirements outlined in the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Transport statement of work.
  • Ensure aircraft records keeping procedures comply with the requirements outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
  • Perform inspections, conduct evaluations and report deficiencies in all areas of contract performance as detailed in the applicable Quality Assurance Procedures.
  • Annual review of forms for accuracy, intent and necessity
  • Evaluate on- and off- equipment maintenance tasks.
  • Perform evaluations and inspections as outlined in the QAP.
  • Implement applicable Quality Control policies and procedures.
  • Maintain records of Evaluator Proficiency Evaluations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workplace.
  • Perform other qualified duties as requested or assigned by Management.


Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Five (5) years' experience on C-12/King Air and/or UC-35 Cessna Citation V Ultra/Encore aircraft is preferred.
  • A valid (FAA) A&P certificate Airframe and Powerplant is Required.
  • An (FAA) IA Inspection Authorization is Required.
  • Must be proficient in the use of AWBS.
  • In-depth knowledge of the FAA, Army Aviation Maintenance procedures, and Hawker Beech and Cessna maintenance.
  • Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
  • A valid Drivers' license is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid US Passport in the event OCONUS TDY travel is requested for operational requirement.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Inspector Tools and Tool bag will be required, (Recruiter will provide information).


AR-95 Medical Requirements - (FAA) A&P Mechanics:
  • Medical/Physical. All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within Ten (10) feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed Five (5) years.

Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is Required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility

Physical and Additional Qualifications:
  • Maintain a clean and organized workplace, promote housekeeping, safety and environmental control standards in all work areas.
  • Moves about both inside aircraft, in hangar and outside on aircraft ramps within close proximity of running equipment and aircraft.
  • Must have the ability to pull/push up to 50 lbs. and must be able to stand/squat/bend/walk/climb/maneuver in and around aircraft.
  • Must be physically able to deploy with unit aircraft to overseas locations.
  • Must be willing and able to deploy to overseas locations with unit aircraft to support operation on TDY travel, if requested to meet operational requirements.
