Duties
Help

• You will configure, triage, troubleshoot, and diagnose hardware, software, printing, multifunction devices, telephone systems, and wireless devices.
• You will maintain customer hardware by performing required repairs, software patches, and/or updates.
• You will ensure users have rights to access network systems and resources based on their roles, responsibilities, and the principle of least privilege.
• You will track, manage, and report equipment inventories, life cycle management of hardware, software, and equipment disposal.
• You will prevent access to sensitive information.
• You will facilitate annual Information Assurance awareness training as part of broader training initiatives.

• This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 411 441, and 451 , proficiency level BASIC the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a Information Assurance Level II certificate as required in the DoD 8570.1-M.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an Information Assurance Training (IAT) Level II certificate.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: troubleshooting and triaging organizational hardware and software components; running tests to verify operability and functionality; implementing security plans and policies; installing operating systems and software applications on all end user computing devices (e.g. laptops, tablets, smartphones, internet connected devices).
The assignments must have shown completion of the following, or the equivalent:

• Analysis of the interrelationships of pertinent components of the system;
• Planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment; and
• Personal responsibility for at least a segment of the overall project.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:

• I have successfully completed master's or equivalent graduate degree with a major study in computer science, information science, information systems management, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or engineering, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field.

OR

• I have successfully completed 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree with a major study in computer science, information science, information systems management, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or engineering, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field

OR

OR

• I have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
