Job Description

JCITA provides a full spectrum of joint and advanced counterintelligence training, which includes CI operations, collections, investigations, functional services, and analysis. JCITA is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE) and adheres to COE standards. JCITA offers in-residence courses, mobile training teams, and distance/distributed learning opportunities; courses include rigorous student assessments to meet strict instructional design standards.

Description:

  • The course provides a national capability for CI Agents to independently conduct Counterintelligence investigations to determine whether a particular person is acting for or on behalf of, or an event is related to, a Foreign Intelligence Entity, as well as determine actions to identify the appropriate resolution.
  • The CI Agent can devise plans that leverage all CI functions, missions, and CI investigative tools and defend their utilization.
  • This course consists of classroom instruction and practical exercises that frequently exceed 8-hour days. This course requires work after hours and on weekends.


Requirements

Required experience :

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience conducting, supervising, instructing, supporting and/or providing legal oversight of full-scope CI Investigations.
  • Served as a CI investigator with experience conducting the full investigative cycle.


Required education:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited Counterintelligence Special Agent credentialing school, must be a graduate of JCITA NSIC, ACIIC and/or the AFCITC, or an IC school equivalent.
  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree.


Security Clearance:

  • Active TS security clearance and be eligible for SCI clearance with a poly or the ability to take one.
