Job Description
Job Title: IT Services Support Technician
Location: Rockville, Maryland
Type: Contract
Compensation: Negotiable $22.00 - $30.00 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 40 hours a week
Security Clearance: Background check
Responsibilities
Assist in resolving approximately 10,000 help desk tickets annually for a County Government client.
Join the Desktop Support Team responsible for touch-labor support for nearly 3,000 staff across about 50 locations and 207 Public School Health Rooms.
Perform advanced desktop support including OS imaging, hardware, software, and mobile device deployment.
troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, and document procedures and inventory.
Support computer relocation, COTS and internal applications, and A/V support as assigned.
Provide remote support using telephone and MS Teams for teleworking County employees.
Manage VDI solutions, enterprise printers, OS deployments, and MS Office365 Suite.
Coordinate and perform rapid deployments, OS imaging, and mobile device configuration.
Travel within Montgomery County to various work sites and work-related locations using own reliable transportation.
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in desktop support and Windows OS administration, including Windows 10 Enterprise and VDI solutions.
Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, and enterprise network issues within Active Directory and enterprise domain environments.
Familiarity with remote support tools such as MS Teams and helpdesk ticket systems like ServiceNow or Remedy.
Ability to lift, transport, and carry up to 50 pounds, with own reliable transportation and mobile communication.
A BS or BA degree in a technical field is preferred.
