Job Title: Program Manager - anticipatory
Location: Hampton Roads, VA
Type: Full-time / Salaried Exempt
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Requirements:
• U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree in technical or managerial discipline
• Project Management Professional (PMP) ORDAWIA Level III
• Minimum 5 years professional experience in engineering to include projects involving maintenance, repair, test, product improvement, or alteration of naval ship hull, mechanical, electrical, and electronic and ordnance systems and equipment
• Active/recent (last 24 months) U.S. government Secret security clearance
Desired:
• Master’s degree in technical or managerial discipline
• 15+ years DoD/Navy program management, Government technical management, or industry business management
• Experience developing, modifying and reviewing naval shipboard documentation
• Experience in DoD material acquisition procedures
• Experience working with NAVSEA, NSWC, NAVSHIP
Job Description:
Oversee multi-disciplinary program support in Navy maintenance, modernization, inactivation, and ILS. Provide administrative and technical leadership in the performance of the contract, including responsibility for cost, schedule and overall performance. Control expenditures in accordance with budget allocations. Plan and procure necessary staffing to achieve work completion milestones and deliverables. Monitor fulfillment of contract requirements to ensure quality and timeliness of services/deliverables to various customers. Review reports and records of activities to ensure progress is accomplished toward specified program objective and modify or change methodology as required to redirect activities and attain objectives. Supervise, coordinate, provide leadership to and review the work of assigned staff. Interface with customers on a regular basis for support of administrative and program management.
