What You'll Be Owning

GRVTY is seeking a Software Engineer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Chantilly, VA. Looking for a full stack developer supporting a backend development team focused on middleware and backend services.

What You Must Have

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
• College degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, back-end Java development experience (not Javascript or Springboot) implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployed to a production environment
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a big data environment using tools such as Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and Hbase (prefer at least two of the list)
• Intermediate to Expert level experience in Solr or Elastic Search (minimum 3 years)
• Performing schema updates
• Possessing significant knowledge & experience in submitting Lucene queries
• Possessing significant knowledge & experience on how Solr/Elastic shards work
• Possessing significant experience tuning Solr/Elastic for performance and query optimization

What Would Be Nice to Have

• Demonstrated experience working with several AWS services.
• Demonstrated experience with JIRA and GITHUB.
