Principal System Security Engineer

Clearance Required: Secret (must be active)

We're looking for a Principal System Security Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

This role supports database operations, system sustainment, and data reliability for secure, mission-critical environments.

In this role, you'll contribute across the engineering lifecycle-from design and development through integration, testing, production support, and sustainment.

What You'll Do:
- Support database operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Respond to database-related work requests and integration needs
- Maintain schema, design, and support documentation
- Partner with system maintainers and engineering teams
- Help improve reliability, performance, and operational readiness

What We're Looking For:
- Experience in designing, implementing, testing and fielding real
- oriented solutions on Department of Defense (DoD) programs with secure systems technologies, methodologies, policies and guidelines
- virus, Vulnerability Assessment, HIDS/ NIDS. host
- Factor Authentication (MFA), and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) and centralized auditing tools familiarity with Splunk is preferred
- Linux Bash scripting or Python scripting experience
- Security systems engineering involving various computer hardware and software S/W operating system and application solutions in both a stand
- Security features and/or vulnerability analysis of various operating systems as defined by Intelligence agencies
