Job Description
CyberCore Technologies is looking for a System Administrator 3.
The Senior Systems Administrator is to provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Linux-based Information Technology (IT) systems, manage Linux IT system infrastructure, and any processes related to these systems. The Systems Administrator will configure and manage Linux operating systems, and will be responsible for installing operating system software, troubleshooting, maintaining integrity, and configuring network components, along with implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $186,000. This range is a good-faith estimate that reflects various experience levels. The Senior Systems Administrator is to provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Linux-based Information Technology (IT) systems, manage Linux IT system infrastructure, and any processes related to these systems. The Systems Administrator will configure and manage Linux operating systems, and will be responsible for installing operating system software, troubleshooting, maintaining integrity, and configuring network components, along with implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
- Provide Tier 3 (Subject Matter Expert) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
- Provide support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, etc.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
- Provide in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems
- Provide support for the system and hardware problems, and remain involved in the resolution process
- Configure and manage Linux operating systems, install and load operating system software, troubleshoot issues, maintain the integrity of network components, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Support the design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.
- Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Fifteen (15) years of experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- 15 years of Linux experience
- Level 3 Tech Support
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
