We are seeking a Technical Director to lead and evolve our technical capabilities in support of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity and emerging technologies, with a strong emphasis on defensive cyber operations, offensive cyber capabilities, and the integration of AI/ML into next-generation cyber solutions. This leader will also play a key role in workforce development, ensuring our teams are equipped to meet evolving threats and technology landscapes.
GENERAL DUTIES:
Technical Leadership & Strategy
- Define and execute technical strategy aligned with IC/DoD mission priorities
- Serve as the senior technical authority across cybersecurity and AI/ML initiatives
- Drive innovation in cyber solutions, balancing cutting-edge capabilities with operational reliability
- Advise executive leadership and customers on technical direction and emerging trends
Cybersecurity Capabilities
- Oversee development and deployment of defensive cybersecurity solutions (e.g., threat detection, incident response, zero trust architectures)
- Guide offensive cybersecurity initiatives, including red teaming, adversary emulation, and vulnerability research
- Ensure alignment with relevant frameworks, standards, and mission-specific requirements
AI/ML Integration
- Lead adoption of AI/ML technologies into cyber platforms and workflows
- Identify opportunities to enhance cyber operations through automation, analytics, and intelligent systems
- Bridge gaps between data science, cyber engineering, and mission operators
Customer Engagement
- Collaborate closely with IC and DoD stakeholders to understand mission needs
- Translate operational challenges into technical solutions and program roadmaps
- Support business development through technical solutioning, proposals, and customer presentations
Workforce Development
- Build and mentor high-performing technical teams
- Establish training, certification, and skill development pathways
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including both defensive and offensive domains
- Demonstrated experience supporting IC and/or DoD missions
- Strong understanding of cyber threat landscape, tools, and methodologies
- Experience integrating AI/ML into operational or enterprise systems
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and programs
- Strategic thinking with hands-on technical credibility
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to operate in high-security, mission-critical environments
- Collaborative leadership and team-building capabilities
- Adaptability in a rapidly evolving threat and technology landscape
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with zero trust architecture, cloud security, and modern DevSecOps practices
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and data engineering pipelines
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP, AWS/Azure certifications)
- Experience in proposal development and technical capture efforts
- Prior experience in a technical director, chief engineer, or similar leadership role
CLEARANCE:
