At KBR, we are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Acquisition Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join a dynamic Commander's Action Group (CAG). This role requires the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, providing direct support to an O-6 level and higher command structure. The SME will be responsible for providing expert advice and analysis on all acquisition-related matters, ensuring the commander's intent is translated into actionable acquisition strategies. Roles and Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary acquisition expert within the Commander's Action Group (CAG), providing analysis, recommendations, and direct support for all acquisition related tasks and initiatives. This includes managing and responding to internally and externally generated action items and tasks.

• Prepare and review briefings, information papers, and other correspondence for senior leadership (O-6 and above) to support decision-making at the highest levels.

• Provide expert guidance on the entire acquisition lifecycle, from requirement generation to fielding and sustainment. This includes a deep understanding of the Army Acquisition Framework and its various pathways.

• Expertly coordinate with lower echelons for the roll-up of information and manage relationships with external stakeholders to ensure seamless program execution.

• Understand and integrate with the operational battle rhythms of the command, ensuring acquisition efforts are synchronized with operational and strategic objectives.

• Lead the preparation and review of complex briefing packages for high-level discussions and decision forums.

• Analyze existing acquisition processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, in line with the principles of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF).

• Provide subject matter expertise to the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process to ensure programs are adequately funded and executed.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 15+ years minimum of direct acquisition experience in the U.S. Federal Government

• Active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• A Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Program Management, Engineering).

• In-depth, expert-level knowledge of the Acquisition Framework, including the various acquisition pathways such as Middle Tier of Acquisition (MTA), Major Capability Acquisition (MCA), and Software Acquisition.

• A thorough understanding of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF) and its practical application to tailor and streamline acquisition programs.

• Previous experience working within a command staff or CAG environment, with a proven ability to operate effectively at the O-6 level and higher.

• Familiarity with a variety of contracting vehicles and strategies, including Other Transaction Authority (OTA).

• Technical Acumen: Experience with digital transformation, process automation, and data analysis tools to enhance organizational workflows.
