Overview This is a full-time position in Quantico, VA. The ideal candidate will be residing in the DMV area. The Videographer/Broadcast Production Support role is crucial in creating high-quality videos to support MCSC's communication goals. The incumbent will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing a wide range of video content, from short social media clips to long-form documentaries. Strong technical skills, a creative eye, and a deep understanding of video production are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Production

Capture high-quality video footage of events, interviews, and other activities.
Edit video footage to create engaging and informative videos.
Ensure videos adhere to Department of Defense, Marine Corps, and industry standards, including Section 508 accessibility guidelines.
Create videos for various platforms, including websites, social media, and digital signage.
Manage the entire video production process, from concept to final delivery.
Technical Expertise
Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects).
Knowledge of camera operation and lighting techniques.
Experience with audio recording and editing.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and find solutions.
Knowledge of video production workflows and best practices.
Creative Skills
Strong storytelling and visual communication skills.
Ability to create visually appealing and engaging content.
Experience with motion graphics, animation, and visual effects.
Equipment Maintenance
Maintain and troubleshoot video production equipment.
Required Qualifications

Security Clearance: Possess and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a videographer.
DoD Public Affairs Experience: Mandatory prior service experience. DoD Public Affairs experience (USMC Public Affairs experience preferred) preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in video editing and production software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) and video capturing equipment (DSLR cameras, drones, etc.).
Portfolio: Ability to showcase a portfolio of high-quality video production work.
Education: Bachelor's Degree or 5 years relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications

Formal Video Production Training: Completion of a formal video production program or certification.
Advanced Video Production Skills: Proficiency in specialized video production techniques, such as 3D animation, virtual reality, or augmented reality.
Knowledge of Military Protocol: Understanding of military customs, courtesies, and protocol.
