Job Description

Duties

  • You will collect, analyze, interpret, evaluate, integrate, and share complex data from multiple sources in assessing the relevance and significance of global developments.
  • You will perform internal and external collaboration with an enterprise-wide focus.
  • You will answer requests for information and produce output in the form of intelligence assessments and finished intelligence products for internal and external customers.
  • You will perform tasks regarding the analysis, evaluation, interpretation and dissemination of information.
  • You will possess an understanding of intelligence requirements, Intelligence Community Directives, and classified information requirements in accordance with applicable laws, polices and regulations.
  • You will proofread and review finished intelligence products for accurate use of grammar and content and to correct any grammatical, spelling, typographical, or compositional errors.
  • You will possess strong spelling, grammar, proofreading and communication skills. Demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to professionally interact with customers.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the excepted service which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications

GG-11
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience analyzing and assisting with the interpretation and synthesis of intelligence data; navigating specified intelligence databases, message handling systems, and proprietary NCIS database; and researching for selecting and compiling specific intelligence information in preparation of formal written products of various types of customers.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience researching and collecting intelligence data, assisting with interpretation of intelligence data; utilizing basic intelligence principles and methods and establishing procedures to analyze and evaluate information; and ensuring intelligence data is properly classified, stored and handled in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
