In this role, you will create sustainable processes and standards while driving automation opportunities to reduce delivery cycle times and improve quality. You will manage the design of ICT pathways, spaces and infrastructure cabling (copper and fiber) for new data centers and the expansion of existing facilities, ensuring physical infrastructure designs are delivered on time with zero rework. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of data center infrastructure while developing and mentoring a collaborative team of technical professionals.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead and develop the ADC Global Design team, fostering an inclusive environment that supports professional growth and technical excellence
- Ensure timely delivery of scalable fiber optic and copper plant designs and specifications that meet customer demand and business objectives
- Review and approve Information and Communications Technology (ICT) pathway, cabling, and equipment submittals while identifying and responding to risks effectively
- Working knowledge of TEMPEST requirements
- Partner with industry suppliers and manufacturers to define product requirements and explore emerging technologies that improve infrastructure quality and reduce costs
- Conduct quality assurance audits at project sites, collaborate with project managers and contractors, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues (20% travel to AWS data centers)

A day in the life
As a NIDD Design Manager, you will collaborate with design engineers across the organization to develop innovative solutions for physical layer infrastructure. Your day may include reviewing design specifications using digital markup tools, mentoring team members on technical challenges, engaging with construction teams to ensure quality standards, and exploring new technologies with vendors. You will balance strategic planning with hands-on technical guidance, ensuring your team delivers high-quality designs while continuously improving processes. This role provides opportunities to influence infrastructure decisions at scale while building meaningful relationships across AWS.
