Manager to lead a team of network administrators in supporting the network infrastructure of a branch office for one of the main business sectors. Responsiblities include ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure, providing technical leadership, and driving improvements to our network operations and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
* Lead a team of network administrators in the support and maintenance of branch office network infrastructure.
* Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and performance. Network Operations:
* Oversee the day-to-day operation of branch office network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless networks, UPS power management, and secure phyiscal layer infrastructure.
* Ensure network availability, performance, and security meet business requirements.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a timely and effective manner. Technical Expertise:
* Provide technical leadership and expertise in network administration, including design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in network operations. Project Management:
* Lead and manage network-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and implementations as well as resource management.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. Security and Compliance:
* Ensure network infrastructure is secure and compliant with Defence sector regulations and standards.
* Implement and maintain security measures to protect against cyber threats. Communication and Collaboration:
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external partners.
* Collaborate with other teams to ensure alignment and integration of network operations with business objectives.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on Defence sector or similar industry.
* Proven experience in team leadership and management. Technical Skills:
* Strong knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
* Experience with network management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Works, etc.).
* Familiarity with Defence sector regulations and standards (e.g., JSP 785, CESG, etc.).
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, BICSI etc.) are desirable.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
