Position Summary
Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI) at Hanscom Air Force Base, Bedford, MA. HNI delivers enterprise support to over 110 active Air Force, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve installations and bases, providing technical and policy support, as well as C3I infrastructure for USAF enterprise applications.
In this role, you will apply a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of software engineering to design, develop, test, and implement software solutions. You will support all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), contributing to the planning, requirements, design, verification and validation (V&V), and sustainment of mission-critical systems, while working in collaboration with government and industry partners.
Responsibilities
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain an Active Secret clearance
Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) and 15 years of Relevant Experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, of which 5 years must be in the DoD, OR
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in a related field

Duties include, but not limited to:
- Conduct reviews on program portfolios to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs and processes, manage and sustain program technical baselines, and design and perform system-level tests to ensure subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications
- Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design, and test results to ensure subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with program specifications
- Prepare technical documents which define, specify, and recommend system and subsystem characteristics; prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective action using application of engineering economy principles
- Perform validation of systems, including development of criteria and procedures; analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering systems
- Provide systems and program engineering, technical support, and technical training to support programs and initiatives, including acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations oversight
- Provide engineering support services and inputs to program and project risk management activities in compliance with Air Force SEAM processes
- Perform problem and gap definition, trade space analysis, science and technology roadmap analysis, set-based design for concept development, Multi-Objective Decision Analysis (MODA), and cost versus capability trade-off analysis
- Implement Digital Engineering, Digital Thread, and Digital Twin techniques across the system lifecycle
Qualifications
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain an Active Secret clearance
Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) and 15 years of Relevant Experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, of which 5 years must be in the DoD, OR
- 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications (8 within DoD)
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in a related field
