Description:WHAT WE'RE DOING
Seeking a skilled and motivated security
representative staff with strong special access
program experience and knowledge to perform
in the role as a Security Generalist on the
Security Mobile Support Team (SMST). This
position is located at multiple locations in
support of the F-35 program.
THE WORK
The successful
candidate will perform in a special access
program environment to ensure execution of
security policy and procedure aligns with
published DoD Directives and manuals, Standard
Operating Procedures, and local guidelines. This
position will require the successful candidate to
travel to OCONUS and CONUS locations at a high
frequency. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Traveling to multiple USN/USMC F-35 sites to
provide security support services within the
Special Access Program environment when
additional security support is required to meet
mission success.
- Candidate will integrate with the local security
team to enhance the overall F-35 program
security posture by participating in and providing
support to multi-functions of security, such as
Personnel Security (PERSEC), Operational
Security (OPSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC),
and Security Education Training and Awareness
(SETA) and SAP Material Accountability Officer (SAO).
- Maintain relationships with geographically
dispersed external customers.
- Provide and coordinate cleared and uncleared
escorting procedures.
- Participate in Self-Inspection preparation, such
as peer reviews to ensure compliance.
- Assist with security incident preliminary
inquiries.
- Ensure facility requirements are met to
maintain accreditation.
- Apply business-minded and risk-managed
solutions to F-35 security issues communicating
observations and recommendations to security
leadership.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Due to future mission requirements, a TS/SCI
clearance may be required for the successful
candidate.
WHO WE ARE
These positions will primarily be assigned to First Shift. On occasion, incumbents will be required to work first- or second-shift assignments and adhere to non-standard schedules that differ from the primary shift for which they were hired and could include weekends due to mission requirements. Additionally, occasional business travel-including deployment and detachment support in demanding or austere environments-may be mandated to sustain F-35 security operations outside the location they were originally hired at to support F-35 fighter operations. Will be required to work at deployed locations for extended periods of time, work rotating shifts, and work in excess of 40 hours per week.

Basic Qualifications:
1.) Final transferable SECRET clearance with closed investigation date within 5 years or confirmed enrollment within the Continuous Evaluation (CE) program with the ability to maintain a TOP SECRET clearance with SCI if/when mission requirements dictate.
2.) Must be able to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs (SAP's)
3.) Experience providing oversight to multi-functions of security, such as Personnel Security (PERSEC), Operational Security (OPSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC), and Security Education Training and Awareness (SETA).
4.) In-depth knowledge of DoD Manual 5205.7 and Volume 4, DoD Manual 5200.01 Volumes 1-3, ICD 705 and associated Technical Specifications.
5.) Experience working on Special Access Programs.
6.) Familiar with working in classified environments and/or classified materials.
7.) Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
8.) Familiarization with Defense Information Security System (DISS) and able to navigate and employ the capabilities of the system independently.
9.) Proficient user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access and other Microsoft Office applications.
10.) Ability and desire to frequently travel and operate independently with little direct oversight.
Desired Skills:
1.) Knowledge and experience authoring Standard Operating Procedures / Facility Operating Procedures (SOP / FOP) documents.
2.) Knowledge and experience executing Self-Inspection's (SI) and executing preparations for Higher Headquarters Compliance Inspection. Authoring Corrective Action Plans and tracking closeout actions for inspection reports.
3.) Knowledge of F-35 Program Security requirements.
Prior experience as a CSSO, GSSO, PSO, PSM, ASM, or PSR.
4.) Experience with conducting thorough investigations of security violations and coordinate corrective actions.
5.) Prior experience with GSA containers and document control.
6.) Experience working in a dynamic military environment and being able to successfully interact daily with senior ranking military officers, enlisted and key GOV stakeholders with confidence, poise and professionalism.
7.) Comfortable making decisions autonomously and successfully operating in a military flying operations environment.
8.) Access Control and Physical Security experience ability to perform assigned tasks.
9.) Familiar with shipping / packing / receiving and accounting for classified materials.
10.) Prior experience teaching and instructing.
11.) Ability to be flexible and deal with constantly changing program requirements.
