Description:
You will be the Field Engineer for the F 35 Electro Optical Targeting System (EOTS) Depot Team in Jacksonville, FL. Our team safeguards the sustainment, maintenance, and operational readiness of the organic F 35 EOTS depot, delivering reliable, high tempo repair capability for the United States Government.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Field Engineer you will own the metrics that drive depot performance and pinpoint risks and opportunities that affect repair throughput. You'll work side by side with US Government artisans, engineering, and logistics partners to assess current capabilities, plan future upgrades, and ensure every repair meets strict customer specifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing and analyzing depot level performance metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinating the implementation of new capabilities and processes in line with contract requirements and customer expectations.
• Assisting artisans in troubleshooting and repairing EOTS Line Replaceable Components (LRCs) using wiring diagrams, test equipment, software tools, and depot procedures.
• Interpreting technical data and engineering guidance to develop correct, compliant repair solutions.
• Recommending corrective actions to both Lockheed Martin and customer representatives when deviations are found.
• Providing rapid, accurate responses to shifting priorities and directions from leadership.
• Collaborating with Orlando based and Jacksonville depot teams to fulfill contractual obligations on schedule.
• Supporting Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs, and policies as directed, ensuring alignment with corporate quality and safety standards.
• Maintaining clear documentation of work performed, decisions made, and lessons learned for future reference.
• Facilitating logistical support for multiple concurrent contracts, ensuring parts, tools, and resources are available when needed.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
- Strong technical and customer interface skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills and the ability to effectively work within a diverse workforce.
- Self-starter capable of performing assigned tasks with little or no direction and interface well with other Program disciplines.
- Analytical thinker with a demonstrated ability of solving complex problems which require ingenuity and innovation.
- Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Power Point, and Excel.
- Candidate must be capable of lifting 35 lbs.
- Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of depot level maintenance procedures, repair methods and sustainment principles.
- Understanding of repair parts management and sustainment contracts.
- Familiarity with electro-optical & mechanical components and common electronic test equipment.
- Working knowledge of Asset Management System (AMS).
- Able to work overtime when required to support customer needs.
