Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Analyzing policies and procedures to measure program effectiveness; (2) Using data analytics to develop administrative policies; and (3) Producing written advisories/guidance for Senior Leadership to ensure program compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

- Assist senior leadership with special research, particularly where consistency of interpretations are important at the senior-most levels of the Command.
- Analyze work processes and special studies to identify problems, inefficiencies or potential problems and develop recommendations for solutions.
- Responsible for mission continuity for ongoing advice and support to the Commander and senior leadership.
- Maintain positive functional interface and coordination with Command elements and other government agencies, and industry to exchange information or resolve problems.
- Maintain continuity of key documents supporting policy and strategy decisions of the Commander.
- Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures as directed by the Commander.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is designated as Key. In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the Key duties until relieved by proper authority.
- This position may require temporary duty travel 10% of time.
- This position may require a one year probationary period.
