• Prioritizes product backlog items in coordination with mission stakeholders, interprets PWS requirements, and aligns sprint objectives with program-level engineering commitments.

• Applies Jira, Confluence, GitLab Continuous Integration, SAFe Agile tooling, and enterprise reporting dashboards to track sprint progress, monitor burndown metrics, and provide transparent reporting to Government leadership.
• Coaches Agile teams on standardized methodologies, iterative delivery practices, and continuous-improvement techniques to strengthen operational readiness and mission assurance.
• Conducts team-level and program-level coaching sessions to reinforce Agile principles, refine workflow efficiency, and elevate collaboration across multi-disciplinary engineering groups.
• Drives continuous-improvement initiatives by analyzing sprint performance data, identifying systemic impediments, and implementing corrective actions that enhance predictability and throughput.
• Coordinates stakeholder engagement sessions to validate priorities, synchronize release planning, and maintain alignment with War Data Platform (WDP) Core Integration system objectives.
• Produces mission-critical deliverables including sprint-planning packages, burndown reports, retrospective findings, and program-level performance summaries supporting disciplined execution and sustained program value.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
• Current Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
• 10 or more years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or closely related Agile delivery role, with demonstrated experience supporting enterprise-scale software development programs.
• Active certification as one of the following: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I, II, or III), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM).
• Demonstrated experience facilitating SAFe Agile Release Train (ART) ceremonies, including Program Increment (PI) Planning, System Demos, and Inspect and Adapt (I&A) events across multiple concurrent Agile teams.
• Hands-on proficiency with Agile delivery and DevSecOps tooling, including Jira, Confluence, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including the use of sprint tracking dashboards and burndown reporting.
• Proven ability to identify, escalate, and resolve cross-team impediments and delivery dependencies in a complex, multi-team program environment.
• Experience supporting federal or Department of War programs, including familiarity with Program Work Statement (PWS) interpretation and Agile requirements decomposition in a government contracting context.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate solution.
• Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and professionally interact with a diverse set of stakeholders (from peers to end-users to executive management).
Desired Skills
• Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
• Experience functioning as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Agile Release Train (ART) Engineer, supporting coordination across Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Systems Engineers, and Data Scientists within a SAFe program structure.
• Familiarity with multi-enclave classified environments, including experience supporting Agile delivery across Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret networks with Risk Management Framework (RMF) or Authorization to Operate (ATO) considerations.
• Background coaching cross-functional teams that include Software Developers, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Platform Operations personnel within a DevSecOps-integrated delivery pipeline.
• Working knowledge of DoW organizational structures, including Joint Staff directorates and Combatant Command missions, and experience translating operational priorities into actionable sprint objectives.
