Lead Systems Engineer
Who We're Looking For:

Responsibilities:
· Support Innovation: Develop and design cutting-edge solutions to optimize efficiency, security, and sustainability within a team supporting the MDSEA Platform.
· Contribute to Technical Initiatives:Lead a team that will conduct comprehensive studies and analyses, define detailed requirements, engineer preliminary anddetailed ground system and platform architectures. Oversee system development for enterprise services, satellite ground systems, and operations centers (including supporting facilities).
· Contribute to all Phases of the Engineering Lifecycle:Support projects from initiation through requirements management, task execution, and ground system sustainment.
· Support Implementation: Document designs and create comprehensive implementation and test plans for execution by sustainment personnel.
· Collaborate and Integrate: Direct a cohesive partnership within the team and other engineers, system administrators, cybersecurity, test teams, project managers, software developers, network engineers, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance with all relevant standards and policies.
· Support Program Milestones: Work collaboratively with Project Managers to define tasks and schedules
The successful candidate will:
• Be able to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.
Basic Requirements:
· Must have 10, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience - May be reduced with completion of advanced education
· Must have 5, or more, years of directly related experience to the support or management of IT systems engineering or architecture role/capacity within a DoD and/or commercial enterprise
· Must have 2, or more, years of experience leading and managing system engineers withing a DoD and/or commercial enterprise
· Must be a Subject Matter Expertise in system engineering with extensive knowledge of virtual IT environments
· Must have a fundamental understanding of Requirements Analysis and Management principles.
· Must have a proficient understanding of the System Engineering V-Model and engineering lifecycle.
· Must have experience with Linux and Windows administration, storage management and effective database management techniques
· Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
· Must be willing, and able, to obtain an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
Desired Requirements:
· Have a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering).
· Have experience working within the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) or other Department of Defense (DoD) organizations.
· Competency in developing and editing Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) (or equivalent framework).
· Be able to logically decompose complex mission systems into manageable components.
· Have experience in developing detailed implementation plans for new solutions and systems.
· Have hands-on experience effectively troubleshooting and applying critical thinking skills to resolve IT system dependencies, impacts, and sustainability challenges.
· Be familiar with Agile development methodologies.
· Be familiar with cloud computing (server and serverless) technologies (e.g., Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Red Hat OpenShift)
· Have experience working with SysML and MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler (No Magic), IBM Rhapsody, or Sparx Enterprise Architect.
· Have 1, or more, certifications in relevant areas (e.g., INCOSE ASEP, CompTIA Security+).
Pay Range: $62/hr-$76/hr
