Administrative Assistant
KBR's Mission Engineering Division delivers complex technical solutions and expert support to the U.S. Department of Defense, specializing in modeling and simulation, cyber transformation, air vehicle mission integration, and lifecycle support. The Administrative Assistant will provide proactive administrative and coordination support to program and project management teams operating in a government contracting environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, comfort with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while supporting contract execution and compliance activities. During the first 1-2 months, the role may require daily in-office work in the Orange Park, FL (Jacksonville area) office; afterward, in-office presence is expected about once per week.

Compensation: $36,300 - $54,400. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support planning, tracking, and follow-up of tasks using Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Planner.
- Prepare, update, and maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and reports in various formats such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Provide administrative support to program and project managers, including calendar coordination, meeting support, and action item tracking.
- Assist with document management, including filing, version control, and coordination of deliverables.
- Support meeting preparation, note-taking, and follow-up actions across internal and customer engagements.
- Assist with tracking and organizing contract deliverables, milestones, and due dates.
- Coordinate internal workflows between technical staff, program management, and leadership.
- Maintain professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive or government-related information.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma & 2+ years of experience
- Active/Current Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar support role.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Planner, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proximity to Jacksonville, FL to enable face-to-face collaboration with KBR managers is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with government contracting environments.
- Understanding of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and contract deliverable tracking.
- Experience supporting program or project management teams.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and interest in leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and workflow efficiency.
- Experience working with SharePoint and document repositories.
