Data Scientist

Blu Omega is seeking a Data Scientist to join our team and help transform complex data into actionable insights that support mission-critical decisions. This role offers an exciting opportunity for professionals skilled in data analytics, machine learning, and visualization to make a significant impact within a government environment.

Location: Suffolk, VA

Clearance Needed: Active Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, standardize, and interpret large datasets
• Perform statistical analyses and develop dashboards
• Support government clients with data integration and management
• Design application workflows, automate processes, and improve data systems
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data security and compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or data engineering
• Expertise in databases, coding, data visualization, and analytic tools
• Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) for 2+ years
• Extensive experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or SharePoint (3+ years)
• Strong skills in data integration using Power Query and managing multi-source data
• Experience supporting government clients
• Ability to analyze large datasets and build dashboards or reports

Nice to Have:

• Power FX experience with advanced logic and formulas within Power Platform

Salary Range: $90K- $130K
Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
