Job Description
Savvee Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a federal client in Washington, D.C. in a hybrid environment. This role leads high‑visibility initiatives at the intersection of project delivery, public affairs, and strategic communications. You’ll guide cross‑functional teams, oversee and approve communications deliverables, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior federal stakeholders—ensuring alignment with approved messaging, governance, and leadership priorities. The ideal candidate brings a strong grasp of integrated communications and excels at mentoring senior teams while driving timely, high‑quality delivery.
Essential Functions
• Providing guidance and direction for executive-level projects involving:
o Initiative management principles,
o Business process development,
o Business re-engineering, and
o Strategic business projects.
• Managing high-complexity projects and ensuring completion within estimated timeframes and resource constraints.
• Coordinating all task participants and reviewing work products for completeness, quality, and compliance with customer.
• Serving as the single point of contact (POC) for all Contractor work performed under the PWS and any subsequent Call Order PWSs.
• Acting as the primary liaison with the Contracting Officer (KO) and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
o Must be available to the COR via telephone between 0900 – 1500, Monday through Friday.
o Must respond to technical problem discussions or resolution requests within 2 business days.
• Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.
• Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.
Required Education & Training
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mid-level Project Management certification, or equivalent certification
Minimum Experience & Skills Required
• Fifteen or more years of experience OR
• Twelve or more years of experience with a master’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field
• Direct experience overseeing federal public affairs and strategic communications programs, with the ability to mentor senior‑level communications staff and ensure alignment with approved messaging, governance, and leadership priorities.
• Proven capability to review, guide, and approve communications deliverables (e.g., strategic plans, briefing materials, digital content, media products) for quality, accuracy, consistency, and compliance before submission to the government.
• Experience leading and participating in client meetings alongside communications teams, providing senior‑level direction, course correction, and decision support while allowing subject matter experts to execute.
• Working knowledge of integrated communications environments (strategic, digital, web, social, and media relations) sufficient to manage dependencies, identify risks, and ensure cohesive delivery across all channels.
• Must have the ability to obtain the client’s Public Trust clearance
• Proven familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and responsible use of AI-assisted tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A highly motivated self-starter
• Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills
