Responsibilities of the Technical Program Manager:
- Serve as the technical and programmatic bridge between customers, applications engineering, hardware design, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Translate customer application requirements into clear technical requirements, constraints, and program deliverables
- Manage complex, cross-functional hardware programs involving cable, connector, and backplane systems from concept through production
- Lead customer-facing technical discussions, executive briefings, and on-site visits (up to 20% travel)
- Identify technical, schedule, and integration risks early by understanding how products perform in real-world customer environments
- Support design validation, qualification testing, and customer issue resolution or escalations
- Guide engineering prioritization based on application-level impact, system performance, and customer use cases
Qualifications of the Technical Program Manager:
- 7+ years of experience in technical program management, systems engineering, applications engineering, or hardware engineering
- Strong application-level understanding of how hardware products are deployed in customer systems
- Experience working with high-speed interconnects, connectors, cables, backplanes, or electro-mechanical products
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
- Working knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, materials, tolerances, and manufacturing considerations
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and customer stakeholders
- Comfortable reviewing technical documentation and participating in engineering-level discussions
- Prior experience in customer-facing roles, including on-site support or executive-level technical presentations
Compensation for the Technical Program Manager includes:
- Salary range: $160,000 - $200,000 depending on experience
