Position Overview
Akamai Intelligence is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and sustainment of electronic security systems (ESS) programs supporting government customers in Bristow, VA. The Program Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of complex ESS projects, including design, implementation, integration, and maintenance of systems such as access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance in a highly secure environment.

Akamai Intelligence is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and sustainment of electronic security systems (ESS) programs supporting government customers in Bristow, VA. The Program Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of complex ESS projects, including design, implementation, integration, and maintenance of systems such as access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance in a highly secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall program planning, execution, and performance for ESS projects, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met.
- Manage day-to-day program operations, including tasking, priorities, and risk/issue management across multiple concurrent efforts.
- Oversee the design, installation, integration, testing, and turnover of ESS solutions (e.g., access control systems, intrusion detection, CCTV/video management, sensors, and related infrastructure).
- Serve as the primary point of contact to the government customer for all program matters, including status reporting, requirements clarification, and issue resolution.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets; monitor performance against baselines and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate and lead technical and program reviews, including design reviews, test readiness reviews, and after-action reviews.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable security, safety, and quality standards, as well as contract requirements and company policies.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality written reports, briefings, and presentations for internal leadership and government stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support proposals, ROMs, and change requests by contributing to technical approaches, schedules, and pricing inputs for ESS work.
