Responsibilities
Arcfield is seeking a Data Systems Engineer (SETA) to support the Landmark GSS EDAP (Enterprise Data and Applications Platforms) program, enabling enterprise data capabilities aligned to critical national security missions.
In this role, you will support the design, integration, and governance of enterprise data architectures and services across a complex, mission-critical environment. You will work closely with program leadership, developers, and Agile teams to guide implementation of data models, catalogs, lineage, and metadata frameworks, ensuring data is discoverable, interoperable, and aligned to enterprise governance and mission needs.
This position requires an individual who can translate data strategy into operational outcomes. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise data architectures and governance solutions, and now operates in a SETA capacity guiding development teams. They have supported delivery of data services in enterprise and production environments and can balance technical depth with a systems-level perspective to drive effective implementation across programs.

Key Responsibilities
As part of the Landmark GSS program, your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Translate data strategy and governance into implementable technical approaches and workflows
- Support design, integration, and adoption of enterprise data services (e.g., catalogs, ontologies, tagging, brokers)
- Enable data discoverability and interoperability through metadata standards and governance
- Support Agile development activities (user stories, backlog refinement, sprint planning, acceptance criteria)
- Analyze data flows and architectures to identify gaps, redundancies, and integration opportunities
- Provide technical support to acquisition activities (requirements, capability planning, roadmaps)
- Support data governance and compliance implementation across programs
- Develop briefings, dashboards, and artifacts for leadership communication
- Support transition of capabilities from concept to implementation to sustainment
Qualifications
- BS 10-12, MS 8-10, PhD 5-7
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise data architectures, data models, and data governance solutions (e.g., catalogs, lineage, metadata frameworks)
- Experience designing and guiding implementation of data catalogs, ontologies, and lineage capabilities, including integration of data flows across systems
- Proven experience implementing enterprise data solutions in production environments
- Experience in enterprise data systems engineering from strategy through implementation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Ability to operate independently and in team environments
Desired Qualifications
- 6+ years of Intelligence Community experience (strongly desired)
- Knowledge of IC strategic planning and resource management processes
- Awareness of Sponsor programs, policies, and systems
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Experience developing visualizations or dashboards (e.g., Tableau)
- Experience briefing senior leadership
