Location: Woodland Hills, CA
Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret required (TS/SCI preferred)
Duration: 12 Months and Possible Extension.
Pay Rate : $90 - $110/ hr on W2 without benefits
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Integration & Test Electrical Engineer to support the Sentinel Program. The ideal candidate will work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment, performing system integration, electrical testing, and verification of both Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and custom hardware. This role will interface closely with research scientists, systems engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet performance, quality, and schedule objectives.

The ideal candidate will work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment, performing system integration, electrical testing, and verification of both Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and custom hardware. This role will interface closely with research scientists, systems engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet performance, quality, and schedule objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on electrical testing at both CCA (circuit card assembly) and system levels, supporting integration, test, and verification activities.
- Lead hardware and software integration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of COTS and custom equipment.
- Develop, implement, and execute test methods and procedures, documenting results and defining required changes in methodology, equipment, or processes.
- Maintain traceability and verification of requirements; support formal decomposition, validation, and system-level test plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform system architecture characterization and trade studies.
- Document hardware discrepancies, investigate root causes, and drive corrective actions to closure.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders, including customers.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in test workflows and integration processes.
- Support compliance with program milestones, including system design and critical reviews (SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR).
Must Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or STEM equivalent with 5-8 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3-6 years of experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
- Experience in electrical testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and system-level testing.
- Proficiency with standard test equipment: oscilloscopes, network analyzers, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, signal analyzers, etc.
- Proficiency in at least one programming environment: MATLAB, Python, C, C++, or C#.
- Strong understanding of requirements verification, traceability, and validation processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interfacing with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated teamwork and ability to lead small projects or teams in cross-functional settings.
- Experience with automated test scripts and integration with hardware interfaces.
- Knowledge of standard electrical components: filters, couplers, splitters, amplifiers, etc.
- Familiarity with digital work instruction platforms (MES).
- Strong track record of driving innovation and digital transformation in test workflows.
- Experience engaging external customers in meetings, presentations, and technical negotiations.
- Exposure to advanced R&D systems such as superconducting devices or microelectronics is a plus.
